Events in the year 2025

At the turn of the year, we would like to give an outlook on the upcoming events in 2025, which are funded as part of PICAIS.

A total of five exciting events from different faculties are planned:

From 19 to 22 May, a network conference on religious cultures of remembrance in (Central and Eastern) Europe will take place, organised by Prof. Dr Sandra Huebenthal.

On 27 and 28 June, Prof. Dr Karin Stögner and Arthur Oliveira Bueno will be organising a symposium on the topic of ‘Subjectivity and Nature’.

Also in July, on 22 and 23 July, Prof. Dr Christoph Barmeyer is organising a symposium entitled ‘Opportunities and challenges of multiculturality at the individual level. Implications for future research, education, and practices’.

The PASSAE - Passau Summer School for Applied Ethics - will take place in Passau from 28 July to 1 August and will focus on the topic of ‘Testimony and Remembrance: On Anamnestic Justice’. The organiser is Prof. Dr Karoline Reinhardt.

Finally, in autumn, from 31 August to 2 September, Prof. Dr Karin Stögner will host the Mid-Term Conference of Research Network 31 of the European Sociological Association. Topics will include ethnic relations, racism and anti-Semitism.
